NUC Denies Psychology And Social Works Accreditation While Others Got Accredited

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given full accreditation to the Pharmacy and Vetenary medicine Programmes of the University of Ilorin while some dept denies.

According to info reaching us at unilorinpeeps, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali (OON) who disclosed this last Wednesday while speaking at the 258** meeting of the university senate, explained that this was the outcome of the 2016 accreditation exercise carried out by the NUC in the university in August last year.

Prof. Ambali added that apart from the two Faculties, seven other departmental programmes also got full accreditation.

According to him, the departments that also got accreditation are: Forestry and wildlife in the faculty of agriculture and social studies in the faculty of Agriculture, water resources engineering and technology quantity surveying and urban and regional planning in the faculty of environmental sciences.

The vice-chancellor also noted that four other Programmes were given interim accreditation to Marketing in the faculty of administration, material and meteoroological engineering in the faculty of Engineering and Technology as well as architecture and surveying and Geo-information in the faculty of environmental sciences.

The NUC, however, denied accreditation to two programmes, Social works and psychology in the Faculty of social science.
